Photogrammetry - the science of taking scale measurements from photographs.
Simply put, a form of surveying or measuring that uses a fully calibrated or "METRIC camera" instead of a laser, plumb bob,
tape measure, transit or level. Photogrammetry is usually associated with aerial photography but with the advances in computer
software capabilities it is now widely used as a replacement for traditional measuring and surveying.
Photogrammetry is as, or more accurate than any other traditional measuring or surveying technique and provides numerous
advantages including lower cost, multiple types of documents at the same time (digital photograph, 3D CAD model, 2D working
Cad model), reduced field time (up to 60%), and an increased level of detail picked up.
In fact no other survey technique
can pick up the level of detail that Photogrammetry can. Why settle for less detail?

Reverse Engineering:
With this technology, Precision Engineering can create engineering documents at a fraction of the cost of
total re-engineering. We are using this cutting edge technology for multiple disciplines. These include, but are
not limited to:
- Mechanical/Structural elements, components or assemblies where no engineering drawings exist.
- Architectural (industrial, commercial, residential) buildings, decks, foundered fancywork.
- HVAC field verifications of existing HVAC duct and equipment in areas where accuracy is
critical and or previous documentation is outdated or non-existent.

How photogrammetry can save time and expenses:
- A new purchase of an existing building of which a zoning or building permit will need to be acquired (50% - 60% reduced time/cost).
- Field verifications are required and your employees/engineers are too busy to spend the appropriate time needed (immediate resolution).
- Your engineering dept. is located too far away to justify the expenses/time to travel to the field to conduct "walkdowns" (50% - 80% reduced time/cost).
- The engineers/designers you have hired in the past have not conducted previous "verifications/walkdowns" to your satisfaction (priceless).
- Your engineering department is too small or your facility is too large for your engineers/designers to verify process or component that was engineered or constructed by others (40% - 60% reduced time/cost).
- You have fabricated/machined a component that you need to have engineering drawings created for (50% reduced cost).
